Welcome to Our Very First Update - No 1

Published: 14/10/2025 - By Hendrix

We're thrilled to launch the very first blog post on our newly redesigned website!

When we set out to refresh our online home, we knew we wanted more than just a beautiful new look. Thanks to the incredible talent of Rachel at Bright Avenue, we now have a platform that truly reflects who we are – and crucially, one that keeps you, our amazing supporters, connected to the work you make possible.

Why We're Blogging

Transparency matters. You donate your hard-earned money, give your time as volunteers, and champion our cause in your communities. You deserve to know exactly how those contributions are making a difference on Manchester's streets.

Through these regular updates, we'll share:

  • Real stories from our evening drop-in sessions

  • Impact updates showing how your donations are spent

  • Upcoming events and ways you can get involved

What's Been Happening?

Since we opened our doors in 2013, we've served thousands of hot meals, provided countless showers and clothing items, and most importantly, offered a safe space where people experiencing homelessness can simply be themselves – no judgement, just compassion

Last year (April 2024–March 2025), we welcomed 1,279 new guests, served over 32,000 meals, and recorded 21,324 visits to our drop-in centre on Great Ducie Street. Behind every number is a person, a story, and a step towards a life away from the streets.

Your Support in Action

Every £ you donate goes directly to:

  • Hot, nutritious meals five nights a week

  • Showers and fresh clothing to restore dignity

  • One-to-one support to help people move on with their lives

  • Specialist activities like our Art Club, Film Club, and Cooking

  • Vital referrals for housing, healthcare, and addiction support

We couldn't do any of this without you. Whether you've donated £5 or £500, volunteered for an evening shift, or simply shared our posts on social media – you're part of the Coffee4Craig family, and you're changing lives.

Stay Connected

We'll be updating this blog regularly with stories, stats, and insights from the front-line of Manchester's only evening drop-in. If there's something specific you'd like to hear about, drop us a line at hello@coffee4craig.co.uk.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for caring and together, we're working towards a Manchester without street homelessness.

With gratitude,
Hendrix Lancaster
CEO & Co-Founder, Coffee4Craig
